John Hamm, Viola Davis και το Game of Thrones, ήταν οι μεγάλοι νικητές των βραβείων Grammy που δόθηκαν το απόγευμα της Κυριακής 10 Σεπτεμβρίο στο Los Angeles.
Ο πρωταγωνιστής της σειράς «Mad Men» κατάφερε να κερδίσει το πολυπόθητο για εκείνον βραβείο στην τελευταία του υποψηφιότητα (όγδοη κατά σειρά), καθώς η σειρά έριξε αυλαία τη φετινή χρονιά.
Η Viola Davis ήταν το φαβορί για το βραβείο α’ γυναικείου ρόλου σε δραματική σειρά για το «How to Get Away with Murder» και κέρδισε το βραβείο καταφέρνοντας έτσι να είναι η πρώτη μαύρη γυναίκα που τιμάται με αυτή τη διάκριση στην ιστορία της αμερικανικής τηλεόρασης και την ίδια να υποστηρίζει στην ομιλία της πως: «Το μόνο πράγμα που χωρίζει τις έγχρωμες γυναίκες από οποιονδήποτε άλλον είναι οι ευκαιρίες (…)
Ως καλύτερη δραματική σειρά, βραβεύτηκε το Game of Thrones», το οποίο κέρδισε συνολικά οκτώ βραβεία, ενώ το αντίστοιχο της κωμωδίας πήγε στην πολιτική κωμωδία «Veep» και την πρωταγωνίστριά του Julia Louis- Dreyfus να τιμάται για τέταρτη συνεχή φορά για το ρόλο της στη σειρά.
