Οι ανακοίνωση των υποψηφιοτήτων για τα βραβεία όσκαρ έγινε και πολλές είναι οι εκπλήξεις αλλά και τα φαβορί που ήδη ξεχωρίζουν…
Σίγουρο φαβορί και μάλιστα με ρεκόρ υποψηφιοτήτων (14), το μιούζικαλ La La Land με πρωταγωνιστές τον Ράιαν Γκόσλινγκ και την Έμμα Στόουν, που γίνεται πλέον το πιο επιτυχημένο, ξεπερνώντας το ρεκόρ που κατείχε η ταινία «Mary Poppins», ενώ ισοφαρίζει σε υποψηφιότητες τον Τιτανικό και το All About Eve.
Οι φετινές υποψηφιότητες όμως έχουν και ελληνικό χρώμα, καθώς ο Γιώργος Λάνθιμος και ο Ευθύμης Φιλίππου θα διεκδικήσουν με τον «Αστακό» το όσκαρ καλύτερου σεναρίου. Επίσης η Δάφνη Ματζιαράκη είναι με το «4.1 Miles», υποψήφια για Όσκαρ Καλύτερου Ντοκιμαντέρ Μικρού Μήκους.
